How we work
You should never have to wonder what’s going on.
Most of the stress in a project isn’t the work. It’s the not knowing. So we run every project through one shared system, from the first conversation to the final payment. You see what we see.
The four stages
- 01
We listen first
Before floor plans, before mood boards: what does this space need to do, for whom, by when, and with what? We ask more questions than you expect.
The brief we agree on becomes the measure for every decision after it.
- 02
A proposal you can interrogate
Scope, timeline and costs: itemised, in writing, in your portal. Ask it anything. Our AI assistant answers questions about your own quotation and terms, line by line, any hour you think of them.
If a risk exists, it’s in the document, not in the fine print.
- 03
We make it
One point of contact. Site progress documented and posted to your portal as it happens. Approvals requested before work proceeds, never after.
When something needs more time, we tell you early, and we tell you why.
- 04
Handover, eyes open
We walk the space together against the brief from day one. Payment milestones track delivered work: you pay for what you can see and stand in.
Then the space starts its real job: being used.
Your project, in one place
Everything on the table. Literally.
Every client gets a portal, linked directly to your designer’s. Drawings, quotations, terms, schedules, approvals, invoices: the full paper trail, live, in one place.
Have a question at midnight about clause 7, or what that provisional sum covers? Ask the portal. It reads your documents and answers plainly. Anything it can’t settle, we pick up first thing, with a clear answer or an honest ‘we need a day to check’.
On speed, and on being wrong.
We answer fast, except when we shouldn’t.
Your time matters, so we reply quickly and clearly. But some questions deserve a considered answer more than a fast one. When that’s the case, we’ll say so, tell you why, and give you a date.
We trust our taste. We don’t worship it.
We’ll always tell you what we really think, respectfully, and with our reasons. We’ll also be the first to say when your instinct beats ours. We’ve never believed we hold the right answer every time; we believe two people looking honestly at the same problem beat one expert guarding an opinion.
A budget isn’t an obstacle. It’s part of the brief.
We work with a range of budgets, and we treat every one the same way: as a design constraint that sharpens the thinking. What we don’t do is stretch ourselves thin. We take on a limited number of projects at a time, so the one we’re making for you gets the attention it was promised.
Made with you.
Not just for you.
