Embracing a modern aesthetic, this project combines sleek design principles with organic materials to create a serene yet contemporary living space.

Utilizing a palette of oak brown and crisp white, the design integrates oak wood and accents alongside white fabrics and laminates. Features such as built-in cabinetry and streamlined furniture optimize living areas, emphasizing functionality without sacrificing style.

Tailored for a Singapore HDB apartment, the layout addresses space constraints through multi-functional elements and hidden storage solutions, ensuring a spacious, minimalist environment that caters to the client's need for an uncluttered and tranquil home.

Serenity

Design | Japandi | HDB | lIVING rOOM

"Serenity" is an embodiment of the Japandi aesthetic, blending Japanese minimalism with Scandinavian practicality, tailored for a contemporary HDB apartment in Singapore.

The living room features a low-profile, walnut wood furniture ensemble and panel walls adorned with wood slats. An indoor olive tree introduces a natural, calming presence. The design leverages light wood tones and white laminates to amplify the sense of space and light.

The design was customized to maximize the limited space typical of HDB apartments. Low furniture was selected to preserve sight lines, while built-in storage in the wood-panel walls maintains a clean and uncluttered atmosphere, aligning with the client’s desire for a minimalist, yet warm and inviting living space.
